Mike F. Foster

Mike Foster joined Sweetbaum Miller PC in 2023. His practice focuses on a broad range of civil litigation matters, and he is committed to providing clients with clear guidance, strategic insight, and strong advocacy at every stage of a dispute. Mr. Foster understands that litigation can be disruptive and uncertain, and he works closely with clients to develop practical solutions aligned with their objectives. When resolution is possible through motion practice or negotiation, he pursues it efficiently; when trial is necessary, he is fully prepared to advocate in the courtroom.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Foster served as a Deputy District Attorney for the 17th Judicial District Attorney’s Office. In that role, he managed a substantial and diverse caseload, ranging from misdemeanors to serious felony matters. This experience provided him with extensive courtroom exposure and strengthened his skills in evidentiary hearings, motion practice, and trial advocacy. He developed a reputation for thorough preparation, sound judgment, and effective presentation.

Mr. Foster brings a distinctive professional background to his litigation practice. Before attending law school, he spent 13 years as a licensed psychotherapist in the Denver area. This experience informs his approach to client service and case strategy, allowing him to assess not only the legal issues at stake, but also the broader personal and business considerations involved. Clients value his ability to listen carefully, communicate clearly, and provide steady counsel throughout complex and contentious matters.
